Raksha bandhan Celebration
At Maxfort School Paschim Vihar, the teachers always aim to instill cultural values in the children. The festival of Raksha Bandhan symbolizing Indian values was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our school. This festival not only celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters, it also has a social significance. It underlines the notion that everybody should live in harmony and hence speaks about the rich culture and traditions of India that make our nation extraordinary. When the Rakhi thread is tied and sentiments of love and protection are exchanged, Raksha Bandhan becomes more than just a festival; it is a poignant reminder of the strength and beauty found in the connections we cherish.
All the students of the school participated in the rakhi making activity and used their creativity to create dazzling Rakhis as this sacred thread is considered to be the symbol of love and unity and it was sent to our valiant soldier brothers stationed at various locations as a gesture of love, respect and protection to them. Students of Grade 3 and Grade 4 presented a vibrant special assembly on this occasion. The students celebrated this festival with great zeal and endeavour. The main objective behind celebrating ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was to make the children aware of the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions.
The students of the grade 3 and 4 were dressed up in a festive look for the Raksha Bandhan celebration. The celebrations included an inspiring show, where they sang and danced to the tunes of songs related to Raksha Bandhan. A skit was also presented by the students showcasing the strong bond between brothers and sisters which left the audience misty-eyed. The vibrant, colorful attires and innocent smiles brightened the ambiance of the school. The celebration aroused a real feeling of brotherhood amongst all. The students were apprised about the importance of this festival by our Principal, Dr. Ragini Kaul.
