District Disaster Management Authority

“We cannot stop natural disasters but we can arm ourselves with knowledge” following the same District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) which was created under Section 25 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 by the Parliament of India . A special workshop was organized at Maxfort School Paschim Vihar to get the students there acquainted to it, by officials of DDMA.

The workshop started with an introduction about DDMA given by Mr. Nishant followed by guidance about First Aid given by Mr. Avtar Singh .A demo of various problems like nose bleeding, fracture, getting unconscious, body bleeding and burning was shown and preventive measures and first aid points were given about the same.


Also a video presentation was shown talking about Gas Explosion, Burning etc and preventive measures for the same like drowned in water, flowery water, blanket and crawling in sand was told.

The topic of Rescue Section by Mr. Sarabjeet Singh was given guiding all students that before protecting others one needs to protect themselves. He told about a scheme government called,’Farishte’ who would help others at the time of emergency by taking them to hospital.

The students were shown all adverse situations and were provided solutions to make it better.

They were told and taught about how to go from danger zone to safe zone .
